IT'S POPCORN TIME FOR 2012!!

Lots of great prizes to be earned!

YOUR ASSISTANCE IS NEEDED TO MAN OUR SHOW 'N' SELL LOCATIONS. PLEASE SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR A LINK TO SIGN UP SHEETS.

IMPORTANT FACTS
  • The sale starts on Saturday, 9/22, and ends on Saturday, 10/27. No sales can be made before the start date (except for on-line sales - please see below)!
  • We will be having Show 'n' Sells on just the first two weekends of the sale. We have some great locations and will need help manning these sites. This is a great opportunity for your scout to make a bunch of sales with their fellow scouts. Please see below for more details in the Show 'n' Sell section.
  • This is our ONLY FUNDRAISER for the pack for the year! (We do a pancake fundraiser in January where all monies earned go to charity)
  • Yes, you can get similar popcorn elsewhere for less money. People that purchase our popcorn are donating to scouting. 30% of what we sell goes directly to our pack!
  • ALL MONIES MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE TIME THAT YOU HAND IN YOUR TAKE ORDER SALES FORMS. Scouts will need to collect the money when they take the order.
  • All checks should be made out to Pack 825.
  • All take order sales forms must be handed in to your den leader no later than the evening of Thursday, 10/25. Orders will not be accepted after this date.
  • This year our pack's goal is to sell $15,000 worth of popcorn. Go Pack!!!

PRIZES!!!
  • There are lots of ways to earn great prizes this year!
  • Sell one or more items and get a Project Popcorn patch or pin.
  • Sales of $250 or more will earn scouts their choice of a $10 Amazon.com gift card, Binoculars, or a Multi-function knife.
  • Sales of $350 or more will earn scouts their choice of a $15 Amazon.com gift card, LEGO Creator Blue Roadster, or a Nalgene water bottle.
  • Sales of $450 or more will earn scouts their choice of a $20 Amazon.com gift card, LEGO Creator Propeller Adventures, or a 6-piece camp kit.
  • Any scout who sells $600 worth of popcorn will receive a bonus Zebco Rod/Reel Combo and an invitation to the 1st annual Occoneechee Council "Powered by Popcorn" Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at Camp Durant!!! The Derby is invitation only and will include lunch, door prizes, trophies, and fun for everyone!
  • Scouts that fill up a 2012 Trail's End take order form will be eligible to earn 2 tickets to a local sporting event!!! Tickets may include games for UNC, Duke, NC State, Carolina Hurricanes, Fayetteville Fire Antz, Carolina Mud Cats, and more. The tickets are limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis so be sure to submit your order sheets showing a filled up take order form to the Occoneechee Council as soon as you reach this sales mark. Forms may be turned in by faxing the form to the Occoneechee Council office at 919.872.1159. Please make sure to include the scout's name, address, email, phone number and game of choice. You may visit www.ocscouts.org/scoreboard to see the games that they can qualify for and the number of tickets still available. For every additional order form filled up and turned in, scouts may be eligible to receive one additional ticket based on availability.
  • Sell $500 online, mobile, or both in October and receive a Bonus $20.00 Amazon.com gift card.
  • Have $1500 or more in sales and receive a bonus $50 gift card.
  • Sell $2500 or more and 6% of your total sales each year is invested in your own scholarship account.
  • And if that wasn't enough, we will also have pack prizes for individual achievements!
    • The top seller in our pack will win a $50.00 gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods
    • The 2cnd top seller in our pack will win a $40.00 gift certificate to Game Stop
    • The 3rd top seller in our pack will win a $30.00 gift certificate to Papa John's
    • The cub with the "Most Hustle" will win a $10.00 gift certificate to Sweet Frog
    • The cub with the farthest online sell will win a gift certificate good for two matinee tickets to Timberlyn Movie Theater

PRODUCTS
  • There are 13 delicious popcorn items to sell ranging from $10 to $75 each from Trails End.
  • There are also two military options where customers can donate money and Trails End will send popcorn to the troops and/or their families.
  • There are some improved items such as microwaveable Kettle Corn, Unbelievable Butter, and Butter Lite. New this year are the Premium Chocolate Lover's Tin or the simpler Chocolate Lovers and the Cheese Lover's (which comes in a gift box); all of which would make excellent gifts!
  • Please note that the Butter Toffee Caramel Corn Light from last year is now called Butter Toffee Caramel Corn.

TAKE ORDER SALES
  • Scouts will be given an order sheet to be used for their own individual selling efforts.
  • Please do not sell any popcorn before the start date of 9/22.
  • I highly suggest getting out in your neighborhood right away to beat scouts from other packs that will also be selling popcorn!
  • Please have your customers make out their checks to PACK 825.
  • All monies need to be collected at the time of the order.

  • Popcorn will be available for delivery the weekend of November 9th.

ON-LINE OR MOBILE SALES
  • Your scout may also sell popcorn using the on-line option. This is a great way to reach friends and relatives that live further away. Facebook and emails are excellent methods to spread the word. Scouts can earn bonus rewards. Go to facebook.com/trailsendpopcorn to learn about bonus rewards from Trail's End.
  • There is shipping on items ordered on-line and the selection and prices are a little different than what we are offering in take order sales. If your customer selects the military option (popcorn will be sent to troops or their family) there is NO delivery charge. This is a great way for friends and relatives to donate to scouting and show appreciation to our military!
  • You can start on-line sales immediately. You do not need to wait for the official start date. All popcorn sold on-line from 8/1 to 10/27 counts toward prizes.
  • To set-up an on-line sales account you will need to go to http://scouts.trails-end.com and click on "Create an Account" in the upper right-hand corner. Fill in blanks as prompted. After sign in, go to the "Send Emails" page to send emails to potential customers. If you send an email to yourself you can get the link so that you can post it on Facebook.
  • NEW THIS YEAR - THE TRAIL'S END MOBILE APP!
  • It's FREE and available to download for iPhones, iPads, and Android phones. Got to scouts.trails-end.com to download the app to your mobile device. Scouts sign in to the mobile app with the account they created to sell online. Customers make a purchase through the mobile app (credit or debit sales only); the customer receives an email confirmation of the order. The product is shipped directly to the customer and the Scout gets credit for the sale to their online sales account!

SHOW 'N' SELLS (WE NEED YOUR HELP)
  • This year we will sell the first two weekends of the sale at some great locations: Harris Teeter, Lowe's, and Walmart.
  • These are a great opportunity for scouts that are hesitant to go door to door!
  • Look below for the dates of these sales and to sign up. This is a fun and easy way to be with your friends in the Pack and earn sales towards prizes!
  • Please note that scouts are not allowed to ask for donations to the pack. A customer can offer it but we cannot ask for it.
  • We need your help to man our show 'n' sells. We need one or two parents to manage each location on the day of the show 'n' sell. This would involve setting up, getting the first volunteers going, and ending the sale. We also need 1~2 parents and 2~3 scouts volunteers to sell popcorn at each table for every shift.
  • Click HERE for the sign up sheet. Please note that there are six sheets in the spreadsheet for different locations and dates. After you fill out your information, be sure to save the file by clicking "File" and selecting "Save", or simply press Ctrl + S at the same time.
